Michael Kücken
Michael Kücken received his PhD at the University of Arizona where he developed a model for the formation of fingerprints in the embryo. As a postdoc he continued working on problems in biomathematics such as regeneration in the Hydra polyp and morphogenesis in corals. At ZIH he continued his work on corals and fingerprints and explores new approaches to the biomechanics of walking. Now he is working with the help of models, data integration, mathematical analysis and simulations on cell biological, developmental and physiological aspects of the human liver.
