Bone Remodeling

We develop mathematical models and computer simulations for the remodeling of bone tissue based on interactions of osteoblasts and osteoclasts with precursor cells, cytokines and growth factors. The goal is a better understanding of bone remodeling and feedback mechanisms with various implants in healthy and diseased bones (osteoporosis, multiple myelom).
